Of course, having the best equipment does not ensure a successful mission – technology means nothing without the skilled hands that operate the equipment. Currently we have some of the most skilled and experienced shipmasters and crew in the towage industry, and we are always taking steps to ensure the future of our industry by investing in apprenticeship programs.

SMS Towage’s paid apprentice program provides a combination of onshore, classroom-based learning with offshore experience-based learning. Our goal is to get today’s youth exposed to the exciting opportunities in the towage industry and provides the training and experience to get the next generation on their way to becoming tomorrow’s shipmasters.
