Special Project : Bring ‘Viola’ Home – part 2

Following a safe return from South Georgia our survey team were able to compile their survey report, which is presently under review by John Simpson and Naval Architect Rosalind Spink from Solis Marine of Beverley.
The survey team were pleasantly surprised with the overall condition of the vessel. Whilst there was a fair amount of steel wastage above deck level, the Hull condition in accessible areas was fairly sound.
Once we are in receipt of the report from John and Rosalind we can proceed to the next stage, which will hopefully result in a full recovery.
